Rowdo Hassan holds the position of Forum Coordinator at Independence House. She is a proficient and driven professional with a robust academic and experiential foundation. She possesses a bachelor’s degree in public administration from the University of Somalia, complemented with further studies in computer science. Rowdo has established a robust basis in both managerial and technological competencies. Her experience encompasses data collection, analysis, and reporting, notably within humanitarian groups, alongside media responsibilities that have honed her communication, writing, and presenting skills.
Now she serves as an anchor and producer for Goobjoog TV. Prior to this role, she acquired experience as a media professional at Shabele TV and SMS TV in various roles. She engaged in composing, investigating, and refining news content.
Before joining the media sector, she possessed expertise with NGOs. She functioned as a call center enumerator at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), overseeing beneficiary verification assessments, data entry, and data quality assurance. Additionally, while employed with Concern Worldwide and the Somali Rehabilitation Development Agency (SORDA), she participated in monitoring, evaluation, and accountability initiatives.
She has excellent interpersonal talents that facilitate the cultivation of robust connections and efficient collaboration among diverse teams.
