Independence House hosts and facilitates outreach programmes among stakeholders as part of its mandate to promote human rights, and civil and political rights in Somalia and the region. Our outreach programmes include seminars, workshops, town hall meetings and social media engagements. These programmes aim to create awareness, educate and provoke action among stakeholders and the general public. We also engage government agencies such as electoral commissions at the federal and state level and local authorities to support them in promoting active citizen participation in governance and leadership.
